The European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH), a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing Diamond Open Access (OA) publishing across Europe, has received financial support from the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).

The EDCH is delighted to announce that it has received a grant from the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), Portugal’s national public agency that supports science, technology, and innovation. FCT financially supports the EDCH in the context of the Portuguese national Diamond OA initiative PubIn that is managed by the FCCN, FCT's digital services and Minho University.

This support will strengthen the EDCH’s activities, including outreach, training, and engagement with local stakeholders. It demonstrates the strong connection between European-level coordination and national initiatives, which helps ensure that Diamond Open Access publishing is sustainable, high-quality, and widely accessible.

The grant from FCT provides essential resources and highlights the partnership between the EDCH and Portugal’s scholarly communication ecosystem. Through such initiatives, the EDCH continues to foster a vibrant, collaborative, and equitable Diamond OA community across Europe, combining national expertise with pan-European coordination.
