The DIAMAS (Developing Institutional Open Access Publishing Models to Advance Scholarly Communication) project aims to create a Common Access Point as a knowledge-exchange hub for Diamond Publishers and Publishing Service Providers by providing resources addressing the Diamond Open Access Standard (DOAS) and a virtual space supporting user interaction.

The Common Access Point lays the foundation for the European Diamond Capacity Hub, which integrates it into a virtual network of resources and regional/national Capacity Centres. Key outputs of DIAMAS, such as the online Toolsuite, the Registry, and the Forum, now form core features of the current European Diamond Capacity Hub.

The European Commission funded the DIAMAS project under HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ERA-01 (grant agreement n. 101058007).

From 1 September 2022 to 31 August 2025.

DIAMAS Landscape report on institutional publishing (2023)

The DIAMAS project explores Institutional Publishing Service Providers (IPSPs) across Europe, with a special focus on Diamond OA, offering the first comprehensive picture of the institutional publishing landscape in Europe (2023).

DOAS and its self-assessment tool

Quality alignment and self-assessment of Diamond OA publishers and service providers. A benchmark for Diamond OA publishing.

Registry and Forum

A Forum for Diamond OA communities of practice and collaboration. A Registry of organisations involved in Diamond OA.

Resources and Guidelines

A living toolsuite bringing together articles and descriptions of best practices on how to run a Diamond OA journal.

Training platform

Training modules and curricula for editorial and technical support staff. Learning Management System with self-paced courses and evaluation.
